GOLF CART RULES

This is a busy family oriented park. For safety reasons, the same rules that apply for motor vehicles on the roads and highways, are implemented in our park. Your cart can be a fun vehicle if driven properly and leisurely, but a hazard if driven carelessly.

RULES and REGULATIONS:

  • Solo drivers must have a valid G2 or G driver’s license. Young drivers must produce proof of this if asked.
  • Drivers with a G1 license must always be with a PARENT and show proof of that license when approached.
  • Young children are never permitted to drive a golf cart, reach over to steer a golf cart, sit on an adult’s lap and drive a golf cart.
  • We have now implemented a 3-strike policy. If any Happy Hills Staff has to discuss your noncompliance to our golf cart rules, on your 3rd discussion, you will be asked to remove your golf cart from the park.
  • The owner of the golf cart is responsible for anyone driving their cart.
  • Cart speed is 10km/h.
  • No alcohol is to be consumed on the cart.
  • No driving while under the influence.
  • Screaming, hollering, abusive language and boisterous behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • The maximum number of people on a golf cart is equal to the number of seats on the golf cart.
  • Speeding, racing and cart overload is dangerous and not permitted.
  • After 11:00 p.m. your cart must be back on your site and stay there until 8:00 a.m. the next morning.

Each Cart Must Have:

  • Front and rear lights
  • Site numbers at least 3″ tall on each side of the cart in a contrasting colour
  • If there is a cover on the cart and the sides are not visible, then 3” numbers are required on each side of the cover in contrasting colour
  • Functioning brakes
  • We require a current copy of your insurance that states you have coverage on your golf cart
  • Only electric carts are allowed in the park

A sticker will ONLY be issued with compliance on all of the above.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE THE USE OF A CART TO ANY CAMPER

NOT COMPLYING WITH THESE REQUESTS

All campers wanting to drive their carts in the park will have to comply to these rules and have the sticker affixed to their cart. This sticker will be issued by the office only when all criteria is met. If we see a cart not in compliance the owner will be informed that the cart must be removed from the park.
